What’s On in Thailand

Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

From 1 May 2025, all non-Thais entering Thailand by air, land, or sea must apply online for the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). The online system is similar to the entry process for countries like Malaysia and Singapore. There is no charge for the TDAC. To apply, visit the official website: https://tdac.immigration.go.th

Thailand–Cambodia Border Update

The skirmishes between Thai and Cambodian forces are restricted to localised border areas. Hopefully, a peaceful resolution will be found soon.

From a tourist perspective, Thailand remains a safe and welcoming destination for international visitors. To ensure visitor safety, the Royal Thai Army has temporarily closed several border checkpoints in the east and northeast of the country. This is unlikely to have an impact on the vast majority of travellers. However, it’s something to be aware of if you are planning to travel to or from Cambodia or are planning travel in these border areas. A list of affected attractions and border crossings can be found here: https://www.tatnews.org/2025/07/travel-advisory-border-safety-measures-in-place-across-eastern-and-northeastern-thailand

Restrictions on flying drones
Thailand has introduced temporary restrictions on flying drones. The measure supports national security efforts amid ongoing tensions along the Thai–Cambodian border.
